We are 32 individuals from 32 different worlds, with 32 different strengths. Nevertheless, we have one common goal in mind – to grow as one, as we serve the school. The 32 of us are unique in our own individual ways, yet uniquely compatible with each other. The arduous nomination period which stretched from dawn to dark tested our perseverance, and most importantly, our differences. Nonetheless, the trying campaigning process, mass dance practices and council camp, showed us how our differences could bring us together and established an unbreakable bond – one that the 32 of us hold onto, and one that will live beyond the council term ahead.
The 33rd Students’ Council, by working together with the House Committee, PDP leaders and college leaders, hopes to give their best in serving the college, and in the process, inspire others through our actions, beliefs and willingness to bring TJC to greater heights, from our hearts.
On behalf of the 33rd Students’ Council, we would like to thank our parents, teacher-advisors, tutors, the college administration and all fellow TJCians who have helped us in one way or another, as we take a step into our council journey together. To the 32nd Students’ Council, we wish them all the best in their future endeavours, and we thank them for showing us what it means to be a true student councillor.
“Crescit Eundo – it grows as it goes”
These are the words which we will hold onto, to guide us through our council term, and what we hope to have achieved by the end of our council term.
32 individuals, 32 strengths, 1 goal – to grow.
Together.
